FAQ’s

Who is eligible to participate?

• Early childhood educators using SpringBoard Preschool Program
• Early childhood educators / trainee of ECCE / student of B.Sc. / M.Sc. Human Development, who are not using SpringBoard Preschool Program

When will the contest begin?

• The contest will begin on December 11, 2021.

How to participate in the contest?

What are the categories for participation?

• TATVA for SpringBoard Literacy – ‘Learning to Read and Understand with Fun’ (toy / game)
• TATVA for SpringBoard Numeracy – ‘Learning Numbers and Math Operations with Fun’ (toy / game)
• TATVA for Everyone Literacy – ‘Learning to Read and Understand with Fun’ (toy / game)
• TATVA for Everyone Numeracy – ‘Learning Numbers and Math Operations with Fun’ (toy / game)

For which age group participant will make toy or game?

• For preschoolers, age between 3 yrs to 6 yrs.

Can I participate in both the categories?

• Yes, you can participate in both the categories, but you must select the same class / level in both the categories and you need to fill out the google form 2 times, once for each category.

What is the entry fee?

• There is no entry fee for the early childhood educators teaching SpringBoard Preschool Program.
• There will be entry fees of Rs. 100 for preschool teacher / trainee of ECCE / student of B.Sc. / M.Sc. Human Development, not using the SpringBoard Preschool Program but want to showcase their talent / If your school is not using the whole set of SpringBoard Preschool Program then you will need to pay for the participation.

What to submit?

TATVA for SpringBoardLiteracy – ‘Learning to Read and Understand with Fun’ (toy / game) or TATVA for SpringBoardNumeracy – ‘Learning Numbers and Math Operations with Fun’ (toy / game)

TATVA for Everyone Literacy – ‘Learning to Read and Understand with Fun’ (toy / game) or TATVA for Everyone Numeracy – ‘Learning Numbers and Math Operations with Fun’ (toy / game)

How can participant educator submit her work?

• Upload the image of your toy / game and video of demonstration in the Google form or upload same on drive and share the link with info@planet-e.in.

What to do after submission?

• We will select the videos and upload them on our Planet-E’s YouTube channel. Each selected educator will receive a WhatsApp message with his / her video link by January 7, 2022. Educator must promote their video by sharing the message with his / her family members, students, and friends up to January 14, 2022, 09:00 a.m. to win the contest.

How my participatory toy / game will be judged on?

1. Age appropriate toy / game
2. Neat presentation of toy / game
3. Originality of concept
4. Easy to understand
5. Easy to use
6. Sturdy and durable
7. Clear handwriting
8. Explanation of concept
9. Resourcefulness of toy / game

Who will judge the contest?

• A group of professionals from Planet-E and its associate guests who hold Post Graduate degrees in Human Development and Early Childhood Care and Education will be judging the contest.

What are the winning categories?

• TATVA Unique Toy / Game: Selected by jury
• TATVA Excellent Toy / Game: Most Popular + Meets all the criteria
• TATVA Popular Toy / Game: Most liked, viewed, and got more subscribers

How many winners will be selected from each category?

What is there for participant educator?

• Each participant will receive an E-Certificate of Participation.

What is the deadline for submission?

• Last date of submission is December 31, 2021.

When winners will be announced?

• Winners will be announced on January 17, 2022.

Terms & Conditions:

1. The contest is open for all early childhood educators teaching SpringBoard Preschool Program and preschool teachers / trainee of ECCE / student of B.Sc. / M.Sc. Human Development who are not using SpringBoard Preschool Program.
2. There will be entry fees of Rs. 100 for teachers who are not using SpringBoard Preschool Program (whole set) but wants to showcase their talent. 
3. If any category receives incompetent or less than 5 participants then the entire category will be disqualified with no communication due to any participant.

5. Upload the image of your toy / game and video of demonstration in the Google form or upload same files on drive and share the link with info@planet-e.in.
6. Entries after due date will not be accepted.
7. No responsibility will be accepted for the entries not received for whatever reason.
8. Inappropriate concept / image / video will be disqualified with no explanation. No communication will be given to the participants.
9. Refer SpringBoard Preschool Program to choose the concept. If your school is using SpringBoard preschool Program (Program means whole package not single books) then please make a game or toy based on concepts in the SpringBoard Preschool Program books.
10. Developmentally appropriate concept for literacy and numeracy need to be presented in the TATVA for relevant category viz, literacy or numeracy. Applicable to all participants not using SpringBoard Preschool Program.
11. Copied ideas and copied videos will be disqualified.
12. Toy / game should be used to learn / revise a concept for age group 3 yrs to 6 yrs.
13. Participant educator must demonstrate about how to play with toy /game and how the particular concept is integrated.
14. Maintaining basic etiquettes while making video will be appreciated.
15. More than one entry in the same category will be disqualified. Only first submission will be considered.
16. All selected toy’s / game’s images and videos will be uploaded on our Planet-E’s YouTube Channel (https://youtube.com/c/PlanetE-India).
17. Participant will be provided a link of her video and she will be free to share it with her family member, students, and friends.
18. By entering this contest, an entrant / participant is indicating her / his agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
