VOW – Video of the Week

VOW – Video of the Week is a new series initiated by Planet-E & Times of Preschool.

‘Video of the Week’ is an on going contest for all early childhood educators / teacher trainees in courses of Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) / students of Human Development / Early Childhood Courses. VOW is the platform for early childhood educators to display various teaching methods, use of interesting teaching aids as well as creative activities to enlighten the zest of festivals. We will upload one video each week which can be of any concept or celebration activity. Developmentally appropriate concepts with child-friendly teaching aids will be appreciated.

This series offers an opportunity for early childhood educators to set forth their skills and creative ideas and share it with all.

1. When will the contest begin?

It will begin from February 4, 2021.

2. Who is eligible to participate?

Teachers teaching in preschools / early childhood educators / teacher trainees in courses of Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) / students of Human Development / Early Childhood Courses are eligible to participate.

3. How to participate in the contest?

4. Which is the last date for participation?

• It is an ongoing contest. Currently, Team of Planet-E is keen to run this for a year from the date of initiation.
• Planet-E and Times of Preschool hold rights to change or close the ‘VOW’ series of ongoing contest at any time without notice.

5. How can participant submit her work for the first time?

5. Upload the videos in the Google form or upload the video on drive and share the link with info@planet-e.in.

6. How can the participant submit her work for the second time?

• Upload the video on drive and share the link with info@planet-e.in (same procedure can be followed for submission of other videos).

7. What to submit and how to submit?

Note: Do not add music to your video.

8. How will the participants be judged?

The participants will be judged on the following criteria:

• Materials used for making teaching aids (Eco-friendly material).
• Idea and neatness in making teaching aids.
• Use and handling of the teaching aids.
• Information given/ topic explanation.

9. What’s there to win?

• Certificate of Appreciation will be issued to the participant whose video will be selected and uploaded on Planet-E’s YouTube channel.
• The participant who will receive 3 Certificate of Appreciation, will win an E-voucher.
• Other participants will receive an E-Certificate of Participation.

10. Who will judge the videos?

10. A group of professionals from Planet-E & Times of Preschool and its associate guests who hold Post Graduate degrees in Human Development and Early Childhood Care and Education will be judging the videos.

Terms & Conditions:

1. The contest is open to all preschool / early childhood educators / teacher trainees in courses of Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) / students of Human Development / Early Childhood Courses are eligible to participate.

3. Upload the videos in the Google form or upload the video on drive and share the link with info@planet-e.in.
4. No responsibility will be accepted for the entries not received for whatever reason.
5. Inappropriate concept will be disqualified with no explanation or communication due to the participants.
6. Copied ideas and copied videos will be disqualified.
7. Videos which are already there on YouTube will be disqualified.
8. Physical appearance of the participant is (not mandatory) expected only in an introduction part of the video.
9. Voice over / explanation in audio should be clear and steady.
10. No music track in the background of Video.
11. Maintaining basic etiquette while making video will be appreciated.
12. By submitting a video, you agree to share your teaching aids, teaching ideas, and teaching method.
13. All selected videos will be uploaded on our Planet-E’s YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/c/PlanetE-India) according to the schedules.
14. One video will be uploaded per week. (Which means if you submitted a video this month and other participant’s videos are already selected for all four weeks then, your video will be uploaded in the next available slot of the week.)
15. Participant will be provided a link of her video and she will be free to share it with her family members, students, and friends.
16. Selected video will also be uploaded in positive light on any suitable media platform.
17. By entering this contest, an entrant/participant is indicating his/her agreement to these terms and conditions.
